Tough tournament on Lake Berryessa for the 2023 season opener. Only two anglers were able to crack ten pounds - Don Welch and Joe Deabreu. Don Welch, the only angler to fill a limit, took 1st place with 13 lbs 3oz's for 5 fish. Joe Deabreu, although only weighing 4 fish, took second place with 11 lbs 4oz with a big fish of 3lbs 14oz.
It was a decent turn out for a January tournament with 12 anglers but we'd love to see more. Our February tournament is on Lake Don Pedro where Jerry Boyd took the victory last year and will be the man to beat. See everyone there!
